Build a content brief from a single target query

Skip the busywork. Get an outline grounded in current top-10 SERP structure plus your existing ranking data for related queries.

The prompt

Copy this and paste it into Claude, Cursor, or any AI client connected to your GenieSeo MCP URL.

prompt
Build a content brief for the target query: [PASTE YOUR TARGET QUERY HERE]

Steps:
1. Classify the search intent (informational / commercial / transactional / navigational) and explain in 1 sentence.
2. Summarise the current top 5 ranking results: title, content type (guide / listicle / comparison / tool), and a sketch of their H2/H3 structure.
3. Propose an outline that covers the UNION of unique subheadings across those top 5, ordered logically. Mark which subheadings are missing from most competitors — those are the differentiation opportunities.
4. From my Search Console data, list any adjacent queries (semantically related, last 90 days, ≥50 impressions) where my site already has impressions but doesn't yet have a dedicated page. The new piece could also target these.
5. Suggest a working title and a target word count based on the SERP average.

Output as a single Markdown brief.

When to use it

Before writing any new piece. Briefs that don't account for the current SERP usually miss the intent.

What you get back

  • The query's current search intent classification (informational / commercial / transactional / navigational).
  • The H2 / H3 structure of the top 5 ranking pages.
  • A proposed outline that covers the union of unique subheadings in a logical order.
  • Adjacent queries from your own Search Console data the new piece could also rank for.

How this runs

GenieSeo doesn't execute prompts — your AI client does. Make sure your MCP URL is connected to Claude, Cursor, Codex, or Antigravity. New here? Read the 60-second setup guide.
